Trash Disposal/Recycling

The trash rooms are located next to the 13 tier units.  Our trash company provides "Single-Stream Recycling."  For the ease in removing recyclables from the building please arrange your recyclables as follows in the trash rooms:

Deposit in the large gray trash room containers--

·        Glass - all clear, green, and brown food and beverage containers

·        Plastic - all narrow necked bottles and containers with handles (arms)

·        Cans - all aluminum beverage and tin food containers

·        Misc. clean and dry paper (including envelopes and mail) that you don't put on the wire stands

Please rinse out glass, plastic bottles, and cans before putting them in the recycling bin.  Please put the recyclable glass, plastic, and cans directly in the trash room container; do not put them in paper or plastic bags and dump the bags in the container.  Dump the recyclables into the container and dispose of the bags separately.

Place on the trash room wire stands--

·        Newspapers and inserts

·        Magazines and catalogues

·        Telephone books and paperbacks

Break paperboard and corrugated cardboard boxes down flat and leave in the trash rooms.

Dispose of garbage (non-recyclable trash) down the trash chute in a closed bag.  Do not drop loose garbage down the trash chute.

Do not force large items into the chute.  If it does not fit through the chute door easily, chances are it will become lodged in the trash chute and block the chute.  If it is too large for the chute door then place the bags on the floor by the recycling can.

The building does not have a bulk trash pick up.  If you are replacing furniture or other bulky items please check with the delivery company to see if they can remove the old item for you when delivering the new item.
